I met Pippa and James at one of swallows nest barns supplier openings one dark evening in the winter – and I am so glad they chose me as their wedding photographer. They chose to have a Modern Stylish Wedding at Swallows Nest Barn – no detail was too small and Pippas planning and hard work along side raising their little boy Jacob is second to none!
The morning started in Warwick at Pippa’s Parents house – the morning was very relaxed with family members in charge of makeup, flowers and plenty of giggles! Pippa chose a column style dress with pretty lace detailing at the top and a beautiful flowing skirt leading to a puddle train. Her bridesmaids were dressed in beautiful nude dresses with gorgeous bow detail on the back.
The morning flew by and before I knew it I was off to see James at Swallows nest, it was 12pm and extremely hot – luckily everyone was sheltering from the sun under the outer terrace excitedly greeting family & friends.
Pippa arrived in a blue Maserati and it was ceremony time – Pippa’s face was beaming with joy, it was such a pleasure to watch these two get married – they have such a beautiful connection that you can immediately see. After a quick drink it was confetti & canape’s followed by some group photos and garden games. With hot summer days I prefer the light in the evening for portraits (and my couples enjoy the temperature a bit better!) so we opted to go for a walk around after dinner.
The room decorations were rustic and classic, wooden pallets with beautiful calligraphy, wooden slices and plant pots with manicured flowers and little jam pot favours for guests to enjoy.
The speeches were fantastic, Pippa’s dad gave a welcoming speech and handed over a Haynes manual on marriage, James gave a heartfelt speech about his family (old and new) and of course about Pippa, Adam the Best Man & Stephanie the Maid of Honour had everyone laughing hysterically.
We ventured out in the evening light for a walk to find the bridge at the back of the barn, after first getting a little lost and taking some shots in a sun swept field we found the bridge and stopped at a few spots along the way. Evening guests had started to arrive and it was lovely to capture so many happy faces.
The cake was ready for cutting and the dance floor primed for dancing feet – the band struck up and Pippa & James took to the floor – the happiness on their faces tell it all.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Crinage – Lots of love to you both (& Jacob!) xx
