Mr & Mrs Chessum are married! What a day it was.
Starting in the morning I popped over to see Becki at Coombe while she was getting ready – while getting ready she showed me the headpiece she was going to be wearing – Becki’s dad is Indian and her Mum is English – Becki wanted to show certain aspects from each culture, I have to say she chose so well and looked amazing with different touches such as the cathedral length vail.
The colour scheme was blue and white – with the boys wearing traditional tails and blue cravats and the bridesmaids in blue dresses with a white lace overlay.
My second shooter Christian was over with Pete and the boys, and followed them getting ready and of course going to the pub for those all important nerve calming drinks.
Soon enough we arrived at Holy Trinity Church in Rothwell, Kettering for the ceremony, a beautiful church dating back to the 12th century which was beautifully decorated by a family friend. The ceremony was truly beautiful – the choir serenaded us all and friends played guitar and violin. The looks between Becki and Pete were really heartwarming, and they even stole a few cheeky kisses!
After a few pictures it was off to Coombe for drinks and games on the lawn – we even managed to sneak out for some sunset photos during the wedding breakfast! The couple were drummed into the marquee which was a beautiful touch and the speeches were hilarious.
Straight after the breakfast it was time to cut the cake and get on the dance floor – followed by fireworks and sparklers – it was a truly action packed day and a honour to photograph!
