Dawn and Craig had been dating a REALLY long time before they got married – around 10 years – but boy it was worth the wait.
I met Dawn and Craig at the NEC national wedding show in Birmingham and got chatting about their wedding at Coombe Abbey, which was originally at monastery, steeped in history it even has ties with the gunpowder plot and ghost stories.
The wedding morning was spent in the luxurious rooms inside Coombe, setting the vintage vibe for the rest of the day. Dawn looked super glamorous in her gorgeous fitted dress, she loves old hollywood screen stars and took this as her inspiration for her amazing wedding day.
The guys all wore fawn coloured suits and looked very dapper – Craig is a bit more camera shy than Dawn and is a man of few words but you can see by the look on his face that he was mega excited!
The Ceremony was at St John the Baptist Church – with beautiful readings, a full choir and string quartet, it breathed the emotion and sentiment of real love. The weather held out for an hour or so afterwards, we did manage to get a few shots in the grounds before heading inside for some amazing shots around the cool and quirky interior of Coombe.
The reception was held in the medieval banquet suite, with crazy suits of armour and shields – it was pretty awesome! Although Dawns Dad did say a few words there were no formal speeches, although a little surprise of a trip to the USA for Dawn & Craig was a heartfelt gift from all of their family, fulfilling a lifetime dream of them both.
