I first met Emma and Danny at the Saxon mill in Warwick – a gorgeous little gastro pub in the countryside – when we met to chat about their winter wedding at Mythe Barn, Warwickshire I was so excited to shoot there.
Danny is SUPER romantic, before he proposed to Emma he had already booked the venue – and the proposal itself OH MY GOD – he flew Emma to America and had arranged for the hotel to put rose petals on the bed and pictures of family members on the room walls with signs spelling will you marry me! (I only wish my fella was that romantic!)
Mythe Barn is a restored purpose built barn wedding venue, full of light so absolutely perfect for photography – you can really put your own stamp on this venue with your own decor and theme. Mythe actually means ‘the joining of two rivers’ – How adorable!
The wedding was a super happy emotional occasion, the barn was decorated so beautifully with blue, silver and white elements for the perfect winter wedding. The ceremony took place in the Oak room in front of the amazing arched window looking out at the countryside.
The two little flower girls who are Danny’s daughters looked super adorable holding those chalkboard signs and when it came to the readings Danny was so overcome with emotion, such a truly beautiful moment.
Throughout the day guests enjoyed entertainment from a string quartet, brilliant magician and an awesome band – and the food! Canapé’s and mains from galloping gourmet, popcorn carts, a beautiful wedding cake and krispy kreme doughnuts.
