I met Jarrah and James a long time ago at Jarrah’s brothers place in Warwick to chat about being their photographer for their Home Farm wedding in Northamptonshire. The wedding sounded amazing, so relaxed with an outdoor ceremony, ukuleles & paper cranes!
Jarrah grew up all over the world and has friends based all over the globe – James has his roots in a farming family and Jarrah has shown him the meaning of Wanderlust. They decided to show their love for the different cultures they had experienced with their amazing decorations, and then a bit of the English thrown in with a game of rounders.
The Wedding Day.
I arrived at the wedding morning at Bragborough Lodge to see Jarrah and the bridal prep began, cooking brunch, flowers arriving (made by James’s mum) Champagne popping and makeup – as me and Jarrah were talking we heard a noise like the house was falling down – turned out to be thunder followed by an enormous downpour of rain. We were quite concerned about the outdoor ceremony but it was fate as it dried up just in time!
The ceremony was conducted by Jarrahs Uncle, Two readings were done by friends, it was such a happy Occassion! Then Mr & Mrs Hemmant walked down the aisle and the party began!
I loved capturing this day and I feel so lucky to have done so. We had thunder, rain storms and sunshine with the most brilliant moody skies. A bride and groom who will weather any storm, a group of multi cultural guests, rounders (which made for some questionable expressions), DIY decor and outdoor ceremony.
Every Wedding is such a varied day – Jarrah and James truly embraced theirs – Rain or Shine ❤️
